from the darkness I see

May 12, 2013 § 2 Comments

the shadows are
taking up positions as
wind, time and sea
work at bringing down
the cliffs – they wait as
continents are
turned into pebbles
pebbles
into sand

the shadows
roam my hallways
adjusting portraits and
rearranging items
on tables
they work the
light switches

bulbs
don’t ignite, it’s
from the darkness I see
authority testing the weak
nature rolling over
children reclassified
illnesses being invented

the soft hand
of grace goes
into a pocket
and stays there
