flower empress

in the garden
she stands
as if preparing a
grand emergence from
inherited dreamscape
attired in astral illusion
azalea has bloomed
as iris awaits
I concern myself with
protocol
enter to be her escort out,
or wait
as she synchronizes her appearance
with the cycle of songbirds
she holds the attention
of the crocus and I
buckets of rain
arm dead
and the day
ready
to move along
