the mind

October 10, 2012 § Leave a comment

the mind,
starting out
so
beautiful,
goes the way
of a
clapboard house –
loosing its occupants
one at a time
until there is
nothing to shelter
but a cold dark
nothing left for it
but a quiet collapsing
preserved only
in descriptions
by others
